These Terms and Conditions govern your use of BEAM Academy's website, diagnostic bookings, trial lessons, and tutoring services. By enrolling in a program or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

BEAM Academy provides tutoring and academic support for students in Years 3-12, including OC preparation, selective school preparation, high school foundations, HSC subjects, and related diagnostic or trial lessons. Services may include:

• Small group tutoring classes, with class sizes varying by program and availability
• Diagnostic lessons and academic feedback
• Custom worksheets, homework, practice tasks, and learning materials
• Online support access where available

BEAM Academy is an independent tutoring provider. NSW public school placement tests and HSC exams are administered by the relevant education authorities, and coaching is not required to sit those tests.

2. Enrolment and Trial Lessons

Diagnostic or trial lessons are provided free unless we have clearly agreed otherwise with you before the lesson. Enrolment is confirmed when a student is accepted into a class and the required fees are paid. We may decline or discontinue enrolment if a class is full, unsuitable, or no longer workable.

3. Fees and Payment

• Fees are charged according to the program, timetable, and billing arrangement confirmed with you
• Payment is due by the date shown on the invoice or enrolment confirmation
• Discounts apply only where they are currently advertised or confirmed in writing
• Fees may change with reasonable notice

4. Attendance and Cancellations

• Students are expected to attend scheduled lessons and arrive prepared
• Please notify us as early as possible if a student cannot attend
• Make-up lessons or credits are subject to availability and the Refund Policy
• Refunds or credits for student-requested missed lessons are capped at the value of two regular lessons per student per term
• Lessons missed with less than 24 hours' notice are not usually refundable

5. Withdrawals

To withdraw from a program, please provide written notice by email to admin@beamacademy.info. Refunds or credits for unused fees are handled under the Refund Policy.

6. Student Conduct

Students are expected to treat tutors and other students respectfully, participate in lessons, complete set work where appropriate, and follow reasonable instructions. We may discontinue services if behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, dishonest, or inappropriate.

7. Online Support

Where online support access is provided, it is for enrolled students and their parents or guardians only. Login details must not be shared. We may suspend access for misuse or when enrolment ends.

8. Intellectual Property

Materials provided by BEAM Academy, including worksheets, lesson content, practice tasks, diagnostics, and online resources, are for the enrolled student's personal study only. They may not be reproduced, sold, distributed, uploaded, or shared without written permission.

9. Results and Liability

We work to provide clear, useful teaching and feedback, but we cannot guarantee selective placement, OC placement, school marks, HSC bands, ATAR outcomes, or any specific academic result. BEAM Academy is not liable for examination outcomes, placement decisions, third-party platform outages, or personal property lost or damaged on our premises.

10. Photography and Testimonials

We will seek appropriate consent before using identifiable student photographs, videos, or testimonials for marketing. Please tell us in writing if you do not consent to marketing use.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time by publishing the revised version on this page. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
