HSC Mathematics Extension 2
Extension 2 is a small course with a hard ceiling, and most students who struggle with it are not short of ability but short of practice at writing a full argument. Classes are built around doing that, then having it read line by line.

What the course covers
Proof, including inequalities and proof by contradiction
Complex numbers and their geometric meaning
Further integration techniques
Vectors in three dimensions
Mechanics, including resisted motion and simple harmonic motion
How the week works
Classes run in small groups at the Epping rooms, with the tutor reading the working as it happens.
Homework each week comes out of what the lesson showed, so it targets the thing that went wrong.
The first class is a free trial. No card, no obligation, and you can stop there.

Years 11 and 12
$120 per week
Weekly, by year group. No enrolment fee and no lock-in term.

- How small are the Extension 2 classes?
- Small. Extension 2 cohorts are small at every school, so the group is normally a handful of students working on the same question set with the tutor reading each one.
- What if my school teaches the topics in a different order?
- Tell the tutor at the trial. The weekly work follows the order the school is assessing, not a fixed timetable of ours.
- What happens in the free trial?
- Your child sits a real class with the group they would join. The tutor works through their current school task, watches the working, and tells you afterwards what they saw.
- How much does it cost?
- Fees are set by year group and are listed on this page. There is no enrolment fee and no lock-in term.
- Where are you?
